The Gratz Bank allowed the Elizabethville Area Historical to use their property at 100 E. Main St., Elizabethville since February 2015 and have covered all associated expenses since that time. They have now donated the property to the Society. It’s a very generous donation and it means so much to the Society to have a permanent home.

About Us


The Elizabethville Area Historical Society is a non-profit corporation formed to promote an interest in the history of the Elizabethville area. We advocate responsible restoration and preservation of historic landmarks and artifacts. We seek to inspire and educate through historical programs.

Our Hours


The society will be open Saturday August 12 and August 26 from 9am to 1pm. Additional hours during the Bicentennial week are Tuesday to Thursday (August 15-17) 4-6:30pm and Friday (August 18) 4-7:30pm. Please note the society will be closed August 19 due to the Grand Bicentennial Parade. We will try to accommodate those who cannot visit during scheduled hours.
